Bhoomau

It is a different kind of one-man struggle, an objection, a protest by Raman to gain equality and rights with the upper castes, from the learnings from his bitter experiences of life! However, ultimately, Raman realizes that the fundamental change must come not in color, but in the attitude of people. The film unfolds the history of a period in which the marginalized sections continue to be further marginalized, politically subjugated, downtrodden and oppressed.

Apartheid is an unchanging reality on this earth. The plot of the film unfolds through the psyche of Raman, who is branded as a thief just because of his colour. The people who were left out of the mainstream of society were addressed by names such as 'Avarnas' (Colourless), Untouchables, 'Parayars' and 'Pulayars' (lower casts) etc. Upper classes did not accept water or food from them. Why just untouchability, even food deprivation ordered for these people in their homes. The reality is that apartheid exists in many forms even today.
