Synopsis

Taking inspiration from a tradition within the Muslim community of South Kerala, "Kalppadukal" (Footprints) narrates a story centered on human connections, the struggles endured to support loved ones, and the transient nature of the human form, entwined with its memories. This tradition involves providing a respectful burial to an amputated or severed body part, even if the individual remains alive.

The protagonist is deeply cherished and remembered by family and friends, each recollection adorned with poignant imagery of his amputated leg. The film underscores the resilience inherent in the human spirit, showcasing the capacity to triumph over seemingly insurmountable life challenges even as the completeness of the physical body diminishes, while the fervor for life endures.
